His Covenant of Love

Scripture: Nehemiah 1:5

Then I said:

“O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands,

Observation: God loves us. The great and awesome god who created this earth loves us… and wants us to love him back and obey his commands.

Application: All I have to do is love him and do my best at keeping his commands and God loves me right back. The creator of the universe doesn’t just put up with me, or know me. He LOVES me and wants good things for me. And all he asks is I follow his commands and love him back. And he even built forgiveness into the program, knowing that we would have missteps in trying to follow his commands. That’s love.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving me, and for this reminder that your love is always present. Please guide me in acting out of love for you… and help my actions be pure. Thank you for the changes you have made in my life… and the changes that are yet to come. Please continue to mold me as I strive to follow your commands.
