Today I saw God and His blessings in the following ways:
I felt His smile while talking with my kids. My older son’s dry wit really makes me roll my eyes and laugh at the same time and wonder how that tiny baby has grown into this subtly witty guy who can be such a delight.
I appreciated the fact that I get to take a shower with several nozzles of water shooting at me and yet was sad thinking that others don’t have enough to drink. How is it that I get so much? I don’t understand it, but I’m thankful for even this thing. I really am.
I saw God in the way a friend has dealt with her father’s death for many years. She embraces the gifts of everyday. I admire that.
I saw Him in putting a few mental puzzle pieces together in thinking of a high school interest and how it may be playing a part in my life as reassurance now. I love it when He throws in little seemingly small things to remind me He IS there… And always has been.
I’m thankful for the smiles I feel I receive from Him so often. I surely hope others see His smiles, too — in the little and the big.
