This has been a summer filled with glorious books.
I’ve enjoyed so much fiction, nearly fiction and non-fiction as I reveled in the extra time gained by not driving children across Houston to two or three schools and back.
My latest read is “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” and it was magnificent!
I picked it up at Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago on a whim and could not be more delighted. The beauty of humanity shines through on every page… even as stories of the horrors of war are told.
Do yourself a favor. Read this book by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows. I have no doubt it will stay in my heart for a long time. If you give yourself the gift of reading it, I bet it will do the same for you.
