Loving my FREE New Testament download on my iPhone!

Tonight I was in a class at church when the pastor suggested we all turn in our Bibles to a passage in Acts.

Great… except I didn’t have my Bible with me. (I know, I know… duh! Should have had it with me!!) Normally I do… and, well, now I almost always will…

Fortunately I had downloaded the audio New Testament from Faith Comes By Hearing onto my iPhone and could very easily find the passage by going to the iPod function and scrolling through the “songs” until I reached the appropriate chapter in Acts. Then I pressed “pause” so the audio wouldn’t play and I simply read along.

S-WEET!

Now I can read the Bible almost ANYWHERE using a device I almost always have with me! And it was absolutely free…  and you can download it, too, for FREE!

In Houston, Faith Comes By Hearing is distributing free MP3 CDs at local churches, but a kind reader of my blog sent me one directly. I had downloaded it but must confess I still haven’t taken the time to do the daily listening. (I’m rather attached to the daily reading. But I think I might try the listening this summer when my kids are out of school and we can listen together.)

You don’t need the discs to download, though. All you have to do is visit the Faith Comes By Hearing Site by clicking on the handy banner at the top of this post and you can get started.

To be honest, I don’t know about any other MP3’s and if the text will pop up or not. But I do know it will pop up in an iPod with video. Try it and see– it is free, afterall!
