Two days again my husband showed me a picture a friend of ours snapped from her house.
The fires were getting dangerously close to her home in Magnolia, Texas. She and her husband were dousing their roof as best they could and preparing to get the evacuation call.
Fires were destroying homes. People were looting homes. Lives were being changed. And they still are: burning, looting, changing.
As it stands now, our friend’s nearly brand new home is still standing. And I can smell the smoke from my own home.
Our friend’s faith in the Lord is strong.
But so many others aren’t nearly as fortunate. They are losing homes and losing faith… or never had that faith in the first place.
This seems to have been a year of more than the average natural disasters. And every single person impacted needs our prayers and love.
Please stop, take a moment or two and remember those whose spirits are broken. Please pray for those who are questioning God right now. Pray for those going through all of this destruction without knowing their Father.
It would be hard enough to watch life as you know it evaporate in an instant… But it would be even harder without faith in our Lord and Savior.
Will you join me in prayer for all impacted by the natural disasters of late? And will you say an extra prayer for those who don’t know our Father yet, or those who do and are now questioning Him?
I know our prayers will be appreciated.
