Memories to Share: Memory #10

memories-to-share-post

I’ll admit it: Santa Claus was a rockstar in my youth and continues to be today.

I loved waking up early Christmas morning to see what surprises I might find. My brother David and I would creep downstairs and check out all the presents under the tree, reading labels by the tree lights, as it was always still dark outside when this began. We’d sort the gifts, shake the gifts and guess what might be inside of each one. Santa always left us fun stockings– typically filled with the Lifesaver book of candies and one year he even left me a jar of maraschino cherries! I LOVED that!!

Nowadays, Santa doesn’t wrap the gifts  he brings for my children, although he did when I was a child. And I’ve learned he does all sorts of different things at different houses and for different families.

If he visits your house, or did when you were a child, why not share those memories?

Week 10’s prompt is:

Did Santa Claus visit your house when you were a child? If so, what are some of your memories surrounding him?

Tell all about it on this week’s Memories to Share sheet and keep it to share later or share it tonight over dinner. You may also share here in the comments, if you’d like. I’m sure your family would love to hear all about your memories and your thoughts.
