I have one brother. He’s four years older than I am and being his sister has always been an adventure!
Of course we bickered as kids at times, but I’ve always loved him. I remember wishing as a child that we both had secret passageways from our closets so that when we got sent to our rooms we could ‘escape’ and hang out together outside without my parents knowing we had made our way out of our rooms.
I remember offering him a Bible and toothbrush holder in the middle of the night when he told me he was running away to another continent… and then wondering whether I should wake my parents or not. And I remember this (now) father of seven telling us he would never marry or have kids. HA!
I have a lot of respect for my brother. He’s an officer in the Navy and works hard for freedom and those who cannot fight for themselves. He’s deployed right now and I know his family misses him, just as he misses them. But that’s not the only reason I have respect for him. He’s a great guy, a loving father and a great ear to listen when I need him. Plus he’s still so goofy and a lot of fun. I’m glad I get to be his sister. I really do love him.
What about you? What sweet (or not so sweet, but important) stories do you have locked inside you about your siblings?
Week 14’s prompt is:
Did you have any siblings? Where did you fit in terms of birth order? Share a little about each one.

What is your story?
I should probably write up a memory or two and share them with my brother and my parents, too. I bet we’d all have some great laughs and then share some more great memories. What memories do YOU have to share?
Tell about some of those things on this week’s Memories to Share sheet and keep it to share later or share it tonight over dinner. Your own kids and spouse would probably like to hear, as well.
