Okay, so it’s not exactly a sticker chart, but it’s pretty much the same idea.
I’ve been having a tough time getting myself motivated to actually get the simple exercise done that I need to do. I’m even slacking on my super-simple ab exercise which really does get results… but only if you do them.
So, on Monday I got out an index card and a Sharpie and wrote “Ab exercises” and then drew five little boxes. Then I wrote “Cardio” and drew three boxes. And I put my little report card on my bathroom counter.
At first I really thought I might post it and use stickers, but then I realized I was being ridiculous and not spending my time in the best places. So I opted to just check off the boxes as I completed the exercises.
Guess what… It actually worked! I didn’t want any of those boxes to go unchecked! I made the time and got done what I needed to do. And all for a little check mark (and the self-satisfaction that comes from completing my list).
And my body is going to be in much better shape because of it.
