A Chapter of Proverbs a Day…
Scripture: Proverbs 12:15
The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.
Observation: Only fools assume they have everything right on their own. Those who are wise (or long to be wise) seek out and listen to solid advice.
Application: Seek out wisdom from those whom you trust and those who have experience so that you, too, can grow in wisdom and make good choices. God doesn’t want us to go at life alone. He wants to guide us with the Holy Spirit and he has placed mentors all around us. Finding those mentors isn’t an easy task, but there is a lot of wisdom to be tapped in those who have come before us.
Prayer: Lord, please guide me in recognizing the mentors you have placed around me, whether they be older, younger or the same age. And please, Lord, use me in connecting mentors and their stories to women here on my blog.
The generations before me have so much wisdom to be tapped if only those younger would listen and show respect. Please remind me where I need to listen and use me where you wish to promote more mentorship in mothering, Bible study and in any other way you choose, Lord.
Thank you, Lord, for your love and faithfulness. And thank you for creating communities where we can grow together.
