Good morning from San Francisco! I’m here for an event that takes place tomorrow and my heart is bursting with joy at the opportunity I have been given to be a part of it. I can’t give you more details now, but perhaps tomorrow I can share.
What I can say now is that, once agin, He has amazed me with my Bible reading for the day. I could be nervous about all that is to happen, but instead He is calming and steadying me. I love this!
So, here’s what I heard in Psalm 23 today:
Scripture: Psalm 23:2 (and part of 3)
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
Observations:
He soothes me and calms me.
Application:
Turn to Him to be soothed and calmed. He will restore you, if you call on Him. He really will.
You should really read all of Psalm 23 if you can. It’s just a gorgeous passage, and not just for funerals. It’s great for every day.
Prayer:
Lord, I love this entire passage. You sharing it with me was beautifully comforting. Thank you so much for that. I also saw a touch of humor in there, which I will cherish all day long.
Thank you for caring enough to know I could use a little soothing and thank you for offering that to me. Today and tomorrow (and hopefully always), should I feel myself start to get frazzled, I will remind myself of Psalm 23.
Thank you.
