You may have noticed that I didn’t post yesterday. I read Psalm 85 over and over yesterday morning, but couldn’t determine what to write. Today I am still a little stuck, as I cannot settle on one verse, but I think I am closer to what His message for me might be.
I’m going to skip the SOAP format in its formality, but still stick with the concept of it. Bear with me, please.
Scripture: Psalm 85
Your best thing to do here is go ahead and read all of Psalm 85. There are several verses within the Psalm that talk about restoration.
Observation:
The Psalmist explains that the Lord has restored his people before and asks that it happen again.
Application:
We might look around at world events and say that we are in need of restoration. The Psalmist offers hope for that restoration. (Really, if you have a moment, click over and read all of Psalm 85.)
Prayer:
Father God, we need you, as we always have. We have strayed from your teaching and your intent for us. Please, Lord, show us grace and restore us. Please revive us again. We need you.
Amen.
