If you’ve been following me here or on Instagram, you know I love wine.
Sometimes, I DO deviate, though. And this is one delicious, refreshing way:
I love me a refreshing Moscow Mule! (And doesn’t this one look especially perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, too?)
My dear friend Ami reminded me of how refreshing a Mule can be a few weeks back while we were relaxing on the beach during a Disney cruise:
Sure, maybe the fact that we were on the adults-only area of Castaway Caye, Disney’s private island, a gorgeous beach with impeccable Disney service, might have helped. But the cocktails were lovely, too.
Last night I needed some refreshment. Fortunately I had planned ahead and had the ingredients on hand:
- 1.5 shot of Vodka (I used Tito’s.)
- About 7 ounces Ginger Beer (I used Fever Tree.)
- Limes
You might have noticed that I used Fever Tree Ginger Beer.
A few years ago at a wine industry conference in the U.K., a fellow attendee told me to look out for Fever Tree mixers. She explained a movement toward better mixers since they DO make up most of a cocktail.
When I finally saw them in stores here in the US, I thought I’d give them a try. I’m glad I did! I find Fever Tree’s ginger beer to be the perfect mix of ginger spice and refreshment for me. I highly recommend it.
(No, this is not a sponsored post in any way. I don’t do those.)
If you’re in need of a bit of adult beverage refreshment, give a mule a try. Just combine 1.5 shots vodka, about 7 ounces of ginger beer, and one squished lime over ice and enjoy.
Cheers!!
