Good morning, sweet friends! It has been awhile since I have shared my SOAPs with you and I’d love to get back into that rhythm. I feel as though the Holy Spirit wants me to get back in that rhythm. Today’s verse echoes that thought. And so here I am.
Scripture
"They will speak of the glory of your kingdom and will declare your might, informing all people of your mighty acts and of the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; your rule is for all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words and gracious in all his actions." ---Psalm 145:11-13
Observation
The Lord’s provision and faithfulness has been present for all of my life… and has been for ages before me and will be for ages after my time on earth.
Application
It is said that people will speak of his glory and power. I am one of his people. I have seen his power, his glory, his provision. What am I waiting for? He provides daily. There is plenty to share!
Prayer
Father God, when I look at my life I see so many gifts given to me by you.. and I see how you were with me long before I was even seeking you, long before I even realized so many gifts came from your breath, your generosity.
To barely scratch the surface, you gave me parents who loved me always and tried their best to show that love and provide for me in every situation, no matter the battles they were facing. (And they faced a lot of battles in life, I am sure). You brought a kind, gentle, generous man to be my partner in life. You put people in my life to show me how to see you and to show how to use and multiply the talents you gave me and continue to grace me with. Thank you, Father, for that and so much more.
Thank you for staying in my life, even when I was “too busy” to put you on my to do list at all, except for a quick “Thank you, Lord” or “Please help me, Lord” whisper. Thank you for providing your Word for me read and about a million options of plans to use to read it and hear it.
Father, your kingdom IS an everlasting kingdom. Your rule IS for generations. You are faithful in all your words and gracious in all of your actions.
Thank you for that. I will speak of the glory of your kingdom. I will declare your might… right now. Not when I see you provide next, but RIGHT NOW, because you are providing right now.. and just moments ago… and always.
You continue to love me and guide me and soothe me and provide for me… when I see it, when I acknowledge it and when I don’t. You don’t go all “crankosaurus” on me when I don’t respond to you in ways you would like. Instead you continue to embrace me and are patient with me.
Thank you, Father. Thank you for your provision… always.
I love you.
I am grateful for you.
I WILL sing your praises and share your works… those as seemingly simple (but not!!) as the rising sun, that I see through my window, that I often take for granted because you are so reliable, and those seemingly more complex as your intricate guidance in every detail (should I choose to listen and follow or not, and then provision when I screw up) in the master plan for my life and my family.
Than you, Father.
I am grateful that I can come directly to you, through your son, Jesus Christ, in whose name I pray,
Amen
