Scripture: Galatians 2:21
I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die.
Observation: God’s grace sent his son to die as fulfillment of the law.
Application: My confusion and questions earlier this week came from my question as to what commandments we are asked to still follow, even though Jesus died and was resurrected. I did/do understand that Jesus is the fulfillment of the law as we cannot live perfectly and that his sacrifice and then the coming of the Holy Spirit is what allows us to be in communion with God.
His coming brings great grace. And I am a sinner. I do not take his gift lightly.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending your son as a fulfillment of your law. Forgive me if any of my questions this week caused anyone to stumble. My intent was to explore an issue where I found confusion in hopes that others could point me in the right direction and that others with the same questions might learn as well. Please guide my growth in you. And use me as you see fit.
