Well hello there! I love being back in the habit of sharing my SOAPS with you… and I do hope you are enjoying them and hearing from the Holy Spirit in some way through what you see here.
This morning I’m taking a look at what He really wants.
Scripture
"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8
Observation
All the Lord requires is to follow Him and be respectful of each other.
Application
God wants our true heart. He wants us to want to follow His teachings and be kind to everyone. In doing justice and loving kindness we are respecting others and treating them as we want to be treated. He wants us to do that, genuinely, and to be with Him.I don’t think He is about pageantry. I think He is about our hearts.
Prayer
Father, thank you for your continued, unending love for me… even when I mess up, even when I get things 100% wrong. I want to follow you: to walk humbly with you, to act justly, and to love faithfulness. Please guide me in focusing on my heart and on your teachings and in doing only as you instruct. Help me to set aside all that is holding me back and just run the race you have marked out for me… with a heart focused solely on you.
Thank you for your gifts. Thank you for your direction.
