Scripture: Malachi 1: 8
When you bring blind animals for sacrifice is that not wrong? When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?” says the Lord Almighty.
Observation: Wouldn’t you agree that is wrong to not offer up your best to the Lord? You should offer him your best and not hold out on Him.
Application: What am I giving to God? I’m not offering up any animals for sacrifice, but, in terms of my heart, how often does he get what is left over of my time? Shouldn’t he get the best and after that, then shouldn’t I offer the rest of my efforts and time up to the rest of the things calling for me?
The time was a gift from Him to begin with, wasn’t it?
Prayer: Lord, thank you for this reminder that you want the best from me, not what is left after everyone and everything else gets their portion. Please guide me in aligning my days and efforts around you. I want to give YOU the best, as you are my Creator, my King and my Redeemer. YOU have given me immeasurable blessings. Knowing that, how can I ever slide time with you down on the priority list?
PS: If you are joining me in praying for your husband daily, today we are praying about his reputation.
