Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:2-3
2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Observation: Your actions show how Christ has transformed you. Everyone one around can and will see who Christ is through you.
Application: Uh-oh. Sometimes that is good—I try to live as I think my Father would want me to. Yet often I slip and make mistakes. And yet, my actions and heart can still be read by all those around me.
For some, I may be the only Bible they ever read.
So when I do slip up, I need to keep grace in mind, and even react to my mistakes in love, while changing my heart.
Prayer: Lord, I want to live for you. I want to have the heart you have in mind for me. And I want to let your love shine out of my heart and onto all those around me because that is how your love is. It cannot be contained. It will be seen by those around.
Guide me in sharing that love and expressing that love and in living the life you intend for me with a pure heart for you.
Cleanse me of the icky stuff and guide me, in mistakes and in victory, to grow closer to you and be a letter of love for you.
Thank you so much for forgiveness and grace. And thank you for letting me try harder and harder to live for you.
