SOAP: Let your light shine!

Happy Thursday, friends!

Today’s SOAP verse just makes me smile– how can it not?!

Let’s jump in, shall we?

Scripture:

Let your light shine.

–Matthew 5:16

Observation:

You’ve got light inside of you. Share it!

Application:

Shine on, sweet friend!

Even if you don’t know it, there is joy inside of you. It’s in there.

Find it and SHARE IT.

And it will multiply.

Prayer:

Oh, Father God, this is such a breath of fresh air.

Thank you for reminding me to share my joy and your light with others.

This is some good stuff!

And thank YOU for sharing YOUR light and joy with ME!

Please help me to see this on those down times and feel the joy that you have given me… and share it with others!

A few things to think about…

I don’t know about you, but just seeing this verse made me happy. I sure hope it did the same for you.

Is there anyone whom you know that may need a bit of light and joy in her (or his) life? Can you share this with that person? Maybe let her know that YOU see the light in her, even if she doesn’t.

Go for it.. and see how that encouragement can spread, like wildfire!

You could even write this on your own index card and pop it in a child’s lunch, or on a friend’s desk.. or in an envelope addressed to a friend…
