Good morning from Healdsburg, California!
My reading this morning was Isaiah 36-37, Psalm 76 and 1 Peter 1.
The Scripture that grabbed me was this one:
“… love one another deeply, from the heart.”
from 1 Peter 1:22
Observation:
We are being instructed to love deeply. Love is something that takes effort. It’s an action for which we can use instruction.
Application:
I’ve seen so much lavish love over the past month and it has shown a light on how I could love better, more deeply.
This scripture is really encouraging to me as I move towards loving, and showing love, more deeply. I am learning how I can show love better. I’m also seeing how I can make changes to be less selfish and more love-centered.
Prayer:
Father God,
Thank you for loving me deeply, for calling out and pulling me close and for showing me your love daily. Help me as I learn to show love differently and more deeply to those you have put in my path. I am so encouraged by your words here and excited for what lies ahead, thanks to you.
Thank you, Father.
