Super Quick Mom Tip: Taming Glitter

Now that it is nearly Valentine season, my daughter is in full crafting mode. She is cutting hearts, writing messages (as best a sweet 4-year-old can) and, of course, delighting in all of the glitter she can use.

And I am making excellent use of an old cookie sheet/ jelly roll pan:

(This is an actual, non-staged photo from our craft room floor from last night. I guess a little glitter did get away, but not much!)

My daughter can glitter all she wants, provided she does so over the cookie sheet. This way, most of the glitter stays in one spot and cleanup is a snap.

  1. That’s what we use when we decorate sugar cookies – that way we can salvage all the sprinkles that inevitably don’t make it onto the cookies!

    1. Oooooh! Smart!
I just use placemats, but you’re right… cookie sheets would be even better! Thanks!

  2. I love it! My daughter loves crafts, but she always leaves an incredible mess behind. I’m trying the baking sheet next time :-)
