Okay, so it’s not MY hotel, but I sure felt at home there. If you’re traveling to Paris anytime soon, you should check it out.
I found 123 Sebastopol on my last business trip to Paris and it was so fun it would be wrong to just keep this one to myself. (Although let’s not share this with everyone— I want to be able to book it on my next trip!!)
Right from check in I loved it.
(Okay I might have actually began the love affair at my first glance at the hotel website. It’s pretty fun.)
Once I got there, though, I knew I was in the right place. The staff was crazy friendly and helpful and I loved the decor, too.
I walked inside and the cool peeps at the front desk made me feel like a star… and I’m not even one who knows ANYTHING about Paris movie stars. But that didn’t stop them from telling me about all the movie people who helped design the decor in the rooms. Each floor was influenced by a different star.
Check out my groovy room:
Seriously… how cute is that sink??!!
See that case down below? It’s actually a refrigerator stocked with cold drinks (to beat the Parisian summer heat) that are FREEEEEE (or included. Whatever.) I was just thrilled to drink to my heart’s content and see refills each day. Cha-CHING!
As you can see from the chair up there, my room was inspired by Claude Lelouch. And he even wrote me a note… or, well, he wrote all of us a note. It was under the glass on my desk. And it was in French. Because I was in France. :)In addition to the drinks in my room, there were also fresh-baked snacks (including super cute cupcakes and cookies) in the lobby to enjoy (for FREE) every afternoon and an adorable bar for (reasonably priced) cocktails in the evening.
Being a movie-themed hotel, you can even stay up late watching free (super current) movies in your room.
123 Sebastopol’s location is ideal, too.
It took me about 2 minutes to get out the door and to a Metro station on the way to my meetings and, for fun, I was about 10 minutes walk from the river (and) Notre Dame and about 10 minutes walk in a different direction to one of my favorite wine bars in town, Ma Cave Fleury.
Want to learn more about the hotel?
Here are all the nitty gritty details:
Address: Once you remember the hotel name, you won’t forget its address because it is… wait for it… 123, boulevard Sébastopol!
And yes, the team there speaks English. So if your French is a tad rusty like mine (or nearly nonexistent), you’re still good to go.
Nope, this isn’t a paid post. Some things are just too good not to share with friends. :)
And if you visit, drop me a note… I’d love to hear what you thought.
Cheers!
PS: Traveling to Rome instead? I’ve got a great hotel in Rome for you there, too…
